There is no better way than celebrating your anniversary by doing something good and giving back to the society. Going by this Sony MIX, the Hindi music channel from Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), announced ‘The Dhun Project’ to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of the channel in India.
‘The Dhun Project’ has been initiated, to pay tribute and recognise forgotten musicians of the industry and help them live with dignity and aims to give back to India’s rich musical heritage by raising funds to empower musicians and educate across levels. As a part of the initiative, the channel has appointed Roshan Ali Sahab as The Dhun Project Ambassador and has contributed Rs 10 lakh to better his life which had been affected due to paralysis.
The project is also leveraging the crowdsourcing platform Ketto.Org, to raise funds for Spic Macay to organise a series of events across the country that will enable heritage musicians to perform in schools and colleges and help them live with dignity
