This new stadium is being built keeping in mind the viewer’s facilities and world standards. It is designing in such a way that the viewers can sit in any place and enjoy the full pleasure of cricket. To facilitate the viewers small to small problems are taken into consideration. The stadium will have the space for 3000 cars and almost 10,000 bikes. The new stadium not only provide the better facilities for viewers and fans, it will also provide the pleasing visiting experience for cricketers and international guests. Those days are not so far, when the people of Gujarat will say proudly that we are the resident of that state on which world’s largest cricket stadium is living. Therefore, BJP and Amit Shah Ji has fulfilled what they had promised and the country has achieved the distinction of the world’s largest stadium. The Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is under renovation and the construction is likely to be over in 2019. It will be the largest stadium in the world with seating capacity of 1,10,000 which is more than the current sitting capacity of Melbourne Cricket Ground which can provide the space for 100,024 people at a time. The new stadium is also bigger in size. It is spread across 63 acres of Land.
To avoid the congestion during big matches process of entry and exit will also improved as per report the new stadium will have 3 entry-exit gates. Easy and guided tour of the Cricket Museum is also a part of this renovation plan. Other facilities like international style food court, Fan-Zone and Washroom, Olympic-size swimming pool are also there. Parking is a major issue in stadiums keeping this in mind this stadium will provide space for 3000 cards and upto 10,000 two wheeler can be parked here.
It is anticipated that the new stadium will start hosting matches from December 2019 onward and is expected to be the home of the Gujarat Lions.
