Revamped Sardar Patel Stadium to be world’s biggest stadium.

Under the kind guidance of Shri Narender Modi Gujarat is touching new heights of development everyday. He have transformed the whole of Gujarat into new. Everyday we get to hear about new development news about Gujarat. You would not believe what Gujarat just did. Gujarat just snatch the crown of Melbourne Cricket Ground to have the biggest stadium of the world.

The Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is under renovation and the construction is likely to be over in 2019. It will be the largest stadium in the world with seating capacity of 1,10,000 which is more than the current sitting capacity of Melbourne Cricket Ground which can provide the space for 100,024 people at a time. The new stadium is also bigger in size. It is spread across 63 acres of Land.

To avoid the congestion during big matches process of entry and exit will also improved as per report the new stadium will have 3 entry-exit gates. Easy and guided tour of the Cricket Museum is also a part of this renovation plan.  Other facilities like international style food court, Fan-Zone and Washroom, Olympic-size swimming pool are also there. Parking is a major issue in stadiums keeping this in mind this stadium will provide space for 3000 cards and upto 10,000 two wheeler can be parked here.

It is anticipated that the new stadium will start hosting matches from December 2019 onward and is expected to be the home of the Gujarat Lions.
